Making The HDTV Choice
Two of the most important decisions you need to make when you are considering your HDTV choices is how much room you have to devote to your new entertainment venture. That is, how much room in your home and in your budget. There are so many different sizes and prices of HDTVs that it is certainly worth your while to do your homework when you are considering your HDTV choices.
There are also different technologies within the different kinds of HDTVs. For example, a Plasma HDTV is thin and can hang on the wall. So can an HDTV with LCD technology. These are two of the more expensive HDTVs yet you should make this decision based on your overall needs.
CRT technology on the other hand has a beautiful HDTV display but is much bulkier since there is an actual picture tube in these televisions. This one definitely isn’t going to hang on the wall so if you have the room, it may be a good choice. Remember, there are many HDTV choices but it is your particular needs that you have to consider.
Whether or not your HDTV has an integrated tuner is another consideration. If it doesn’t, it will be termed HDTV-ready and will have to have a separate set-top box to receive HDTV. The televisions with integrated tuners are slightly more expensive but it’s an important consideration. You’ll be able to narrow your HDTV choices just by asking and answering a few simple questions.
Don’t be intimidated by all the different technologies and bells & whistles on HDTVs. Just figure out what your particular needs are (as to price and room available), do a little research and you’re on your way to enjoying a superior broadcast.
