Parental control - Does it work?
Your toddler may have more sophisticated technical knowledge than you have, and this may lead you to ask, “Parental control, does it work?” Even for those who have technical savvy kids, there are parental controls that can and do work for kids of all ages. Of course, it is easier to implement parental control for younger children than teenagers, but even if teenagers are hackers, there are many forms of parental control that are hacker-resistant.
For your young child, you can make parental control that works easy and fun. You can find special remote controls for kids with parental control panels at the bottom. These remote controls can only access pre-programmed channels, and your child can flip channels in safety. The colorful buttons make viewing fun, and the parental control on these channels is quite effective. Parental control that works often blocks undesirable channels from access. The instructions on how to block these channels are not difficult, and you can dismantle the parental control when the children are not present. Channel blocking is a common form of parental control, and will work for children who cannot get a hold of the guidelines on how to put up parental control and dismantle it.
If you have older children, the form of parental control that works best is a password system, or you can have certain channels blocked from your home altogether. It is difficult to access a password, and the hacking technique would have to be so sophisticated, that your child would have to be a professional hacker to get your password. Parental control is worth it and works for every age group, as long as the method of parental control is constantly reviewed and updated as children grow.
