Endless Advantages of Satellite TV
The advantages of satellite TV are almost endless. First, there’s the husband factor. With the number of sports channels on satellite TV, there’s always some game or tournament or conference or play-off to keep them occupied and out of your way – any day of the week, every week of the year. Maybe this isn’t a huge plus for you, but for me, it’s all I can do to keep my husband busy around the house so I can get my own work done.
Maybe instead you’re looking for a way to help your kids get something good out of the hours they spend in front of the tube. Confiscate that video game console and turn on one of the many educational channels that satellite TV has to offer. There’s the Discovery Kids channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic, Biography, and so much more. At any given time, there are more documentaries and educational shows on than you can shake a stick at.
And not all of these educational shows are passive. The DIY channel always has a great do it yourself project for the kids to try their hand at and the Fitness channel provides a variety of different exercise shows and investigative health reports to show your kid the importance (and fun) of fitness.
When it’s time for the family to get together and relax, you can pick a movie from one of the many pay per view channels. See the most recent releases without spending a ton of money at the movie theater. In fact, the cost of taking a family of four to the movies just once will pay for a month of satellite TV.
Price alone is reason enough to invest in satellite TV. What else can you purchase that is an educational tool for your children, a bonding event for the entire family, and a way to get your husband out of your hair for hours at a time? Advantages of satellite TV? It would be easier to list the disadvantages – none!
