The X Files
If you were a fan of the Cult TV Show The X Files you’ll be pleased to know you can still catch the odd repeat on the FX Channel on satellite TV every now and again.
The X Files, a Sci Fi series which starred Gillian Anderson as FBI Agent Dana Scully, and David Duchovny as her partner Agent Fox Mulder, was written by the brilliant mind of Chris Carter and soon become a huge hit show gaining millions of viewers each week.
Dana Scully plays the cynical Agent Scully who has been sent to check up on Fox Mulder and work alongside him on the cases of unexplained phenomenon that gather in the basement of the FBI workplace, known as The X Files.
As they work together more, Scully begins to realise that some of Mulder’s theory’s aren’t quite as ridiculous as the government would have liked her to believe and she decides to stay on board and help him investigate The X Files full time.
They encounter many classic characters along the way, from the fantastic ‘Lone Gunmen’ ( who also had their own spin-off show that was shown on satellite TV a couple of years ago ) to the elusive ‘Cigarette Smoking Man’ Mulder’s nemesis and the one person who always seems to be standing in his way when it comes to finding the truth.
Classic episodes include; Tooms – A chilling episode about a man who has the ability to stretch his entire body fitting himself into the smallest of places to attack his victims. And Clyde Bruckmans Final Repose – A man with the ability to see how people will die, helps Mulder and Scully on an important case.
With such catchphrases as ‘The Truth Is Out There’ ‘I Want To Believe’ and the all important ‘Trust No One’ The X Files made compulsive viewing for many years from 1993 onwards. Catch this fantastic show on the FX channel or the Sci Fi channel whenever you can, and re live the conspiracy!
