House Of Wax on Satellite TV PPV

The house of wax remake of 2005 by Juame Collet-Sera was a surprising hit despite the fact that a lot of people were expecting it to be a complete flop (Mainly due to the fact that one of the main stars was Paris Hilton…. Need I say more??)

With its tagline; Prey. Slay. Display. House of wax actually turned out to be an extremely watch able and enjoyable film!

It begins with a group of six friends who are on their way to watch a college football game, and follows their journey as they become stranded in a deserted ghost town in which the main feature is the ‘House Of Wax’, a strange museum that is literally made from wax, everything from the actual building itself to the objects and people inside.

The chilling secret of the house of wax is soon revealed to the teenagers though, as eventually they are all targeted by the two brothers who run the house of wax and make their ‘creations’ in a very bizarre and chilling way.

It stars the lovely Elisha Cuthbert (24, The Girl Next Door) Chad Michael Murray, Brian Van Holt and Paris Hilton, who I must say actually delivers a fairly good performance.

This is one of those films that really keeps you on the edge of your seat, with the right mixture of humour and scare factor you can’t help but be compelled to watch right to the end. Also if you have never seen the original then there will be a couple of plot twists that you may not see coming.

All this combined with a brilliant soundtrack makes The House of Wax one remake that really is worth your time, providing some good old fashioned thrills and chills along the way.
