Just Married - On Film Four Next Week.
If you’re into Romantic Comedies then you might want to tune in to your satellite TV next week and catch the Fantastic movie ‘Just Married’ Starring ‘Punked’ presenter and actor Ashton Kutcher, and Brittany Murphy star of Eminem’s debut film 8 Mile. Directed by Shawn Levy and Released back in 2003 Just Married was one of Ashton’s first films, partially helping him to earn his ‘funny man’ image that he portrays today.
The basic plotline revolves around Tom and Sarah, who after getting married against her family’s wishes face an obstacle filled honeymoon in Europe as Sarah’s parents go as far as sending her ex boyfriend along (Played brilliantly by Kristian Kane) in a desperate attempt to try and split the happy couple up.
Everything that could possibly go wrong on their honeymoon does go wrong, from the plane flight to their destination and even the hotel room. This light hearted and fun comedy has all of the classic factors that make for a entertaining film, and even though you may see some of the slightly obvious jokes and comic capers coming a mile away, it doesn’t distract from your enjoyment of this film at all, as it has some great acting and the comic timing is spot on.
Fans of Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy won’t be disappointed as they both act very well in the film. The surprising thing for me was a great performance by Kristian Kane who shot to fame after appearing on the Buffy spin off ‘Angel’ his character was a good addition to the film and provides some great scenes.
All in all this is a great film for a quiet night in, it is only about 90 minutes long so not too time consuming either. Check it out if you’re in the mood for a few laughs.
